This five-day tour of Bosnia includes a visit to the places Selco discusses in his articles.
You’ll see the places where snipers perched, why it was so difficult for citizens to get fresh water, and the dangers inherent in simply walking across the street. You’ll see the aftermath of a year of relentless shelling and sniper fire. You’ll visit the cemetary where MRE’s fell from the sky and you’ll experience exactly how close enemy lines were during the Balkan War.
And with Selco as your guide, he will share the significance of each of these sites.

Medical Training – A classroom day that deals with essential medical skills not taught in routine ‘first aid’ or similar courses, but essential in ‘grid down’ scenarios.
Having spent 5 days in the region these last three points will be the basis for a group discussion in peaceful, calm and comfortable surroundings as we come to terms with what we have learned
The cost of registration includes your comfortable accommodations in a local apartment, but does not include food. You will find that food in Bosnia is extremely inexpensive.
This course will focus very much on talking and learning. It will not be extremely physically demanding, although there is a lot of walking and some stairs.
BUT it will give you an incredible opportunity to learn more about how Selco survived what he did, and for you to understand and come to terms with what actually happens in a SHTF event.
You’ll be one of the very few people in the world who have spent time with Selco in his hometown and walked in his footsteps.
This will prepare you for the realities of a long-term SHTF event in a way that reading about it or talking about it could never do. This unique course is the ultimate gift of learning.
The course includes some walking and some stairs but is not extremely demanding physically.
Selco survived the Balkan war of the 90s in a city under siege, without electricity, running water, or food distribution. He gives an inside view of the reality of survival under the harshest conditions. He reviews what works and what doesn’t, tells you the hard lessons he learned, and shares how he prepares today.
Selco is a prolific blogger and is the author of The Dark Secrets of SHTF Survival, The SHTF Anthologies 1 and 2, and SHTF Survival Stories, Volumes 1 and 2. He teaches online survival courses at SHTF School and shares his knowledge to small, select groups in his physical courses in Europe.
Regardless what happens, chances are you will never experience extreme situations like Selco did. But you have the chance to learn from him and how he faced death for months. Let Selco use his experiences to help you even the playing field.
Toby brings a broad range of varied competencies and skills, offering counterbalancing concepts and thoughts to harmonize alongside Selco’s applied experiences.
Toby is a leading wilderness survival instructor specializing in extremely cold environments. Drawing on his experience and top-level qualifications as a risk management specialist he will show how to apply these assessments and methodologies to both preparedness and survival activities. As a former member of the elite infantry British Royal Marines and current member of I19 Infantry regiment which serves above the Arctic Circle, Toby will help expand on personal safety and security considerations and techniques, as well as appropriate crossover of military skills to the average civilian.
A former professional qualified member of British Military Intelligence, Toby will teach you the importance and ability to gather and process information, in various forms and environments. This segues with one of Selco’s most vital subjects covered, that of dealing with ‘misinformation’.
You'll learn about SHTF events on an entirely different level. You'll never look at preparedness the same way again after visiting with Selco and seeing the constant dangers and tragedies he faced. This will help you prepare mentally in a way that most people will never experience.
